Small Business Saturday

Each year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, small businesses are celebrated.  This day is called Small Business Saturday (SBS) and 2020 will be the tenth anniversary of it.  This year it is November 28. 

So what is Small Business Saturday?  In 2010, American Express founded this day and devoted it to supporting small business and communities across the country.  Supporting small businesses is a great way to help your community flourish and stay lively.  They are the backbone of the American economy and your local community.  Help support your neighbors, family, and friends.

Shopping small can lead to a huge impact. Almost $20 billion was spent last year on SBS.  American Express reports that 62% of small businesses need sales to return to pre-covid rates before the end of the year to survive.  2020 looks different, but SBS doesn’t have to.  Concerned about going out and being in crowds?  No problem.  Visit the websites to buy merchandise, gifts and gift cards.
