Alabama Offers Business Interruption Grants to Small Businesses

Governor Ivey announced July 8, 2020 that the State would be using some of the CARES money to fund grants to small businesses. This is a much needed source of funds for small businesses. The program opens for applications on July 16, 2020 and closes July 25, 2020. Some of the conditions for these grants are:

• Alabama residency for the business
• In business as of March 1, 2020
• No more than 19 employees
• Filed an Alabama income return for 2017 and 2018
• Be in good standing with the Alabama Department of Revenue

You can log onto the business’ MAT account to apply for the grant. The maximum award amount is $15,000
